After a neutralized start, strong ascents and descents will follow a stony track. The route goes through a canyon with technical sections for a few kilometres. On exiting the canyon, we will reach a wide plain taking us to an inhabited area.

After a few kilometres along the hard shoulder of a road, we will reach a very wide track with sandy areas. This track goes straight, and after a short but intense ascent, we’ll reach the arrival point of the previous day. The link stage then takes us to the bivouac.

It is the most mountainous stage in the race.

Hail, Saudi Arabia, January 31st, 2020. At kilometre 82 of the stage and with 18 kilometers to go, Julen Zubero, Josep Betalú and Oscar Pujol were leading the stage.
